The Parish of Lostock Gralam lies on the outskirts of the old salt town of Northwich in mid-Cheshire and is in the Church of England Diocese of Chester.

The Parish consists of two large villages, Lostock Gralam and Wincham, and the smaller communities of Lostock Green and Lach Dennis. Lostock Gralam was originally a separate village on the outskirts of Northwich but is now a linked suburb.

The main Parish Church has a regular Sunday congregation of about forty-five people, mainly adults ranging between late-twenties to early nineties. We are seeing some new people and families joining our generally older congregation on the third Sunday of the month when we hold our informal 'Café Church'. On the other Sundays our main 11.00 am service is more often than not a Service of Holy Communion (Eucharist).

A Service of Holy Communion  takes place on the third Sunday of the month at 9.00 am at All Saints' Church, Lach Dennis.

Once a month on a Thursday there is a special service parents and grandparents looking after pre-school children are invited to:  ‘Play and Pray' combines the telling of a Bible story with craft activities and a short act of worship, followed by refreshments. On the second Sunday of the month at 2.00 pm in the afternoon we hold 'Messy Church', and an increasing number of families are engaging with this. We have no groups for teenagers at present but remain hopeful  that the young people who come to Café Church and Messy Church may become the foundations for such a group.

We have an excellent Church Hall, which hosts a monthly Prize Bingo evening, attracting up to fifty people from the local community.

We hope we are a warm and welcoming church, because we are eager to be a fellowship which welcome new members and a church ready to meet the various needs of the people within our communities.

Why not pop in for 'Open Church' on a Tuesday morning  between 9.30 am - 12.30 pm,  where you can have a chat with others over a cup of tea or coffee. This can attract up to thirty people and there is always room for more!

The Parish of Lostock Gralam takes its duty and obligation to protect and safeguard all extremely seriously. We have adopted the national Church of England's robust procedures and guidelines. You can find out more about the national policies and procedures at www.churchofengland.org/safeguarding.
